Brighton based brothers Lee and Nick Meldrum, first formed in January 2016, and have been described as already possessing ”sheer velocity and volume, vibrating long after their set has concluded. Combining relentlessly driving drone with catchy punk hooks” by Cable Promotions. As we’d yet to catch a live show in London to witness ourselves, we caught up with the band to hear more firsthand.

It wasn’t so much wanting to form the band, it was more a natural progression. Being brothers we had always played in bands before with other musicians but over 2014/2015 hadn’t really been doing anything until being asked to play a set at a small festival by some friends. There were no real plans for any kind of continuation of it but the experience kind of reignited a passion for creating that we had both lost for a while.

Hmm that’s a hard one, to us it is a punk/grunge/indie/garage rock type of thing. We grew up listening to bands like Queen, Dire straights and Prince being played by our parents and found bands like Nirvana, The Clash, Pantera and The Libertines ourselves and just really wanted to make an amalgamation of all those sounds into our sound, best thing

There are a few band we are loving at the moment, Paves are really good. the Sisterray guys are awesome. Also really liking what we’ve heard from The Blinders so far! They are definitely ones to watch
