Review: Moon Dogs (Composed by Anton Newcombe)

T&F recently watched the private screening of this new Welsh film council funded, sensual coming of age indie flick. With knowing references to the Irish cult flick Disco Pigs, and references of the youthful rebellion of Bertulucci’s The Dreamers – its humour is also distinctively British in its awkwardness.

The movie is directed by Philip John – The Multi BAFTA nominated, multi-award-winning director screenwriter of Downton Abbey from Newport, South Wales.

The psychedelic original soundtrack is also composed by Brian Jownstown Massacre’s Anton Newcombe.

The plot follows two teenage step brothers on a doomed road trip across Shetland,Scotland & the beautiful, nihilistic bad girl who comes between them.

It’s released tomorrow, Friday 1st of September.
