The Dig Deeper sound, with its spacious, long layered nuances and contortions, is what they describe as “Norwegian Road Rock”. It comes with a prominent psychedelic prefix and sets itself out with a clear storytelling approach.
It’s a record that comes with an especially interesting concept, and tells the story of life as a refugee; the risk, the journey, the expectation and the sad conclusion of often being met with hostility by the rest of the world. Through previous releases the band have often used their music to criticise their country’s right-wing government, but this is the first of their material that sees them look at the big picture and translate it into a bigger musical concept.
