Review: Feminist Film Refuge

The Refuge a film by my friend Venezuelan photographer turned film maker, and feminist Maria Millan is a short sharp production, that champions women’s rights and protests against the government’s cuts to the Mental Health Budget which is forcing many women’s aid centre to close their doors.
The shortmovie stars the French actress Lujza Richter Hugo, known for her role as Princess Mona Braganza alongside Daniel Day- Lewis’ in Phantom Tread, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson.
Her co-star is the International actress and model: Demi Hannah Scott known by her constant work at ShowStudio with Nick Knife, her worldwide campaigns for Uniqlo, Fenty Puma amongst others. The film is an all-female cast to call attention tpgender disparity in the filmmaking industry, and was recently showcased in Cannes.
